Our Sensory Sensitive Clinic has been specifically designed for neurodivergent patients and those who may struggle with traditional busy clinical environments.
These appointments offer a calmer and more supportive experience with longer appointment times, reduced waiting room numbers and a more tailored approach to your care.
This appointment may be suitable for people who experience:
- Autism
- ADHD
- Sensory processing difficulties
- Anxiety surrounding healthcare appointments
- Difficulty coping with busy or unfamiliar environments
We understand that every patient has different needs and we encourage patients, parents or carers to email us before the appointment to discuss any reasonable adjustments or requests that may help make the experience as comfortable as possible.
To help patients become familiar with the clinic environment, the only appointment available to book online is our Sensory Sensitive Meet & Greet appointment.
During this appointment patients can meet the clinician, see the clinic environment and discuss any concerns prior to booking treatment appointments.
Patients are welcome to attend as many Meet & Greet appointments as they need in order to feel comfortable with both the clinician and clinic surroundings before treatment begins.
Once the patient feels comfortable and ready to proceed, the clinician will arrange the next appointment directly with them.
We do ask that all patients complete the Patient Passport form prior to attending their appointment so that we can better understand individual needs and make any appropriate adjustments in advance.
Our HCPC registered clinicians are committed to providing a supportive, understanding and patient-centred experience for every individual.
Appointment lengths may vary depending on the patient’s needs.
